Meadowbrook is a hidden gem of a neighborhood in Northeast Seattle near Lake City. Your kids can go from K-12 within a one mile radius with John Rogers Elementary, Jane Adams Middle School and Nathan Hale High School all in walking distance.
Meadowbrook is centered around the Meadowbrook Community Center and swimming pool and has open ball fields, a playground, tennis courts and pea patch. Thornton Creek runs through the middle of this neighborhood with a wooded walking trail and the Meadowbrook beaver ponds playing host to beavers, otters, ducks, geese, blue heron, bats and a few bald eagles.
Southern border is NE 95th Street and the Wedgwood neighborhood, and northern is NE 120th Street and the Cedar Park neighborhood, on the west by Lake City Way NE (SR 522) and Victory Heights and on the east by 35th Avenue NE and Matthews Beach.
The neighborhood is almost entirely residential with a few small restaurants and other businesses. Drive to downtown Seattle in 15 minutes or hope one of the many bus lines rolling down Lake City way or 35th Ave NE.
